Stokke Tripp Trapp adapter for new extended glider on old chair

This simple adapter can be mounted to older Stokkes Tripp Trapp baby chairs fabricated until 2013. This allows to mount the extended gliders, which are needed to increase safety. The factory gliders for the older chairs are currently out of stock, so if you want to buy a used chair and plan to upgrade it with a new baby seat, your only option is a DIY solution. The adapter is mounted to the chair with a 4.5 x 50mm wood screw and the glider that comes with the new baby seats can be snapped into place. I would recommend printing at 100% infill and to check for structural integrity before use. If you have no idea what I am talking about, you will propably not need this thing ;) Update Elizabeth told me in the comments that there is an issue with one pin breaking off. Since this pin is there for keeping the extended glider straight it could also break of if the chair is hit against an obstacle. To fix this, I made a few modifications. In the improved version, you can use another 4 or 4.5mm wood screw in the center of the pin. It is a tight fit so you don't have to use a long screw, it will hold in the printed part itself. We don't have a baby chair anymore, so somebody else will have to try it out ;) Another update: Turbofisk wrote in the comment that the fit was a bit loose and that scaling it up by 6-7% did the trick. If you too have trouble with a wobbly extender, this might work for you as well. Category: Kitchen & Dining
