Stoeger M3000 Improved Recoil Pad
thingiverse
This replaces the subpar stock recoil pad/buttplate on a Stoeger M3000, which is essentially just a solid chunk of rubber offering little to no cushioning. This recoil pad draws inspiration from the overall design of the stock pad, but reduces much of the material for improved comfort. The base plate can be printed in any desired material. I used standard black PLA. The cushion requires printing with Ninjaflex or similar "rubber" PLA. Initial attempts resulted in false starts; to achieve success, I employed a printing speed of 12 and hotend temperature of 218. A shell thickness of 0.8 and only 5% infill were used, which seemed functionally adequate, though it left holes in the shell. If reprinted, I would likely use a shell thickness of 1.2 and 10-15% infill. https://github.com/chrisspen/recoil_pad_stoeger
