This exact replica mimics the original shift knob found in Pontiac Fieros from '84 to '88. I'm not entirely sure about the purpose of the top indentation, possibly a thumb rest, since you grip it with your palm, but I included it for consistency's sake. The only modification made was adjusting the hole's tolerance so that a 3D printed version would thread on smoothly. The original shift knob is crafted from textured hard-rubber. The picture shows the original that inspired this replica – I haven't yet 3D printed it.
