STL to SOLID conversion

In 2015 Solidworks Service Pack 3, you can use the built-in STL to Solid converter. To access it, open a file and select STL as the file type. Click on the desired file, then choose 'Options' and pick either 'Solid Body' or 'Surface Body'. Note that poor quality STL files may not result in solid models. Large STL files (over 2MB) might take hours to convert, while smaller ones may only require 20-40 minutes. If you have less RAM than 4GB, the process could take longer.
