If you'd like to see more details, watch here: https://youtu.be/JbM4lfS2Fps Today we're bringing you a 3D printed Stitch from the Disney movie Lilo and Stitch that's truly one-of-a-kind. This iconic character is an absolute blast to create in full figure form. I spent hours modeling the entire thing in ZBrush, just me and my computer, and it took about 6 hours from start to finish. I relied heavily on Dynamesh, moving things around until they looked just right. Then I exported the model and used Meshmixer to cut off the bottom so it would sit easily on the bed and print with no issues. I've included both the cut-off model and the full model for anyone who wants to try a different printing orientation. The CR10 printed this at 0.5mm layer height, resulting in an amazing top finish but a less-than-perfect bottom. Chelsey had her work cut out for her when it came to smoothing out the rough areas with files and sandpaper, and she even used putty to resculpt several spots towards the bottom that needed extra attention. But what a job she did! Next up, she primed the entire thing with filler primer, then brought out the airbrush to paint on the main blue coat. With acrylic paints and a brush, she filled in all the details, and finally topped it off with a glossy clear coat after everything was completely dry.
