We're excited to share with you a brand new 3D printed Stitch figure from the beloved Disney movie Lilo and Stitch. Stitch is an iconic character that has captured hearts worldwide, making him the perfect subject for our latest creation. To bring this adorable creature to life, we used ZBrush to create a detailed model in just one sitting. The process took around six hours from start to finish, but it was well worth the time and effort. We primarily employed Dynamesh techniques and made adjustments as needed until we achieved the desired outcome. Once our model was complete, we exported it and sliced off the bottom using Meshmixer to ensure a smoother printing experience on our Creality CR-10 3D printer. To give you more flexibility, we've included both the cut-off model and the full model in our files, so you can print Stitch in the orientation that suits your needs. We printed Stitch at an incredibly detailed layer height of 0.5mm, which resulted in a stunning finish on top but some rough areas on the bottom. To address this issue, Chelsey expertly sanded down the rough spots and even resculpted certain areas using putty to achieve a seamless look. After smoothing out Stitch's surface, Chelsey primed him with filler primer before applying an airbrush coat of blue paint. She then meticulously filled in all the intricate details with acrylic paints and a brush, finally sealing everything in place with a glossy clear coat.
