Stitch is a fictional character in Disney's popular Lilo & Stitch franchise. A genetically-engineered extraterrestrial resembling a blue koala was created illegally by Dr. Jumba Jookiba to wreak havoc across the galaxy. According to the franchise's timeline, Stitch was originally designed to cause chaos throughout the universe. His mischievous behavior made him endearing to Lilo, who adopted him as her beloved pet. Through Lilo's influence and her Hawaiian values of family, Stitch transformed from a destructive creature into a loving, self-aware being who enjoys spending time with his adoptive family on Earth. Stitch is now a strong believer in the concept of ʻohana, which means family. With Lilo's help, he applied this value to reform many of Jumba's 625 prior experiments, nearly all of whom Stitch treats as his "cousins".
