I'm currently building a Stirling engine that's designed to be straightforward for machinery to manufacture. Right now, I'm in the process of precision machining. The crankcase is fashioned from a 2-inch diameter tube with a 3/8-inch thick wall. On one end, it features hot side stainless steel, while on the other end, it has either aluminum or copper for the cold side.
