Stirling Engine

Stirling Engine

grabcad

Currently, I am working on a weekend project involving a low-temperature Stirling engine. To enhance its efficiency, the displacer cylinder should be thermally insulated from the power cylinder. While acrylic or glass are commonly used materials, I decided to use wood due to its suitability for low temperatures. For my design, I created the displacer cylinder with two layers of wood because I didn't have thick enough wood stock initially. The engine components include aluminum or brass, and the displacer will be a sealed foam that can withstand the temperature and displace air. The CAD is comprehensive, and only minor adjustments like gluing or silver soldering may be required. This project includes all necessary files for building your own low-temperature Stirling engine, and I'm open to providing alternative formats if needed. Please let me know if you encounter any issues with the files.
