My printer was refusing to cooperate with the original design, so I decided to try my hand at creating one from scratch using materials I had on hand. https://tinkercad.com/things/6u5DwEen5iU https://tinkercad.com/things/6cJCLkIRHZi https://tinkercad.com/things/aYzolQJ91JE I picked up some 0.5-inch neodymium magnets from Michael's and glued them into the holder, which was then attached to the fan using CA gel. The setup held with just magnetic force at first, but I was worried it might vibrate or wobble over time, so I added a layer of glue for extra security. To complete the project, I glued some rubber pads onto the feet and secured the display into the base using more CA gel. Unfortunately, the tabs on the sides aren't the most robust mounts, but it'll do. The final result could be prettier if I had access to different PLA colors, but black is what I had left in stock. Here are the links to the hardware components in case they become unavailable: 5.5mm X 2.5mm DC Power Supply Jack Guitar Pedal Panel mounting 6V 12V 24V Digital Display LED DC Motor Speed Controller PWM Stepless Speed Control Switch ARCTIC F8 PWM Rev. 2 Fluid Dynamic Bearing Case Fan, 80mm PWM Speed Control, 31CFM at 22.5dBA 12V AC Power Adapter For Maxtor OneTouch II III HDD,3100 Personal Storage Print Settings: Printer: RepRap derivative Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.45 Infill: 40% Notes: I used the E3D volcano to reduce print time and minimize warping. The top required heavy fan cooling, so I ended up blowing a box fan at it to prevent warping and tape removal issues. Custom Section
