Stingray Cruiser – 460 FPV Acro Quadcopter

The Stingray Cruiser has been my printed quad project this summer. The goal was to build a minimal FPV cruiser quad, integrating a stabilized GoPro mount with a large and stable platform. The frame is capable of swinging up to 10" props and probably larger if desired. It is photographed with 8" props, which offer great acro response. The flight controller is center mounted with ESCs routed through the arms. The octagonal arm form and integrated push fitting makes for quite a strong quad. The profile is a slightly stretched-X style. The frame isn't perfect but I think it does a few things very well. Please post your results if you decide to take it on. UPDATE (07/26/17) - Open field flying on 6s yields impressive results. I don't care for these motors though, they omit a good amount of vibration. It won't be long before the bearings start having issues. I have a set of Sunnysky motors that will hopefully make their way onto the frame at some point. The PIDS are a little sloppy, which can tighten up with a bit of tuning.
