The FIM-92 Stinger is a man-portable air defense system operating as an infrared homing surface-to-air missile. It provides high accuracy and enhanced air defense capabilities to armed forces. The lethal missile can be deployed for defense against all classes of helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles, and low-level fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. The model features highly detailed, low-poly geometry with fully textured Stinger and missile components. With a total polycount of 7730 polygons (14,116 tris in total), it consists of 6,385 polygons as quads and 1,345 as tris. Textures are PBR-ready for physically based renders, using roughness-metalness types for game engines. However, standard shaders in 3DS Max and Maya may display incorrectly. The scene includes the Stinger (6,930 polys; 12,668 tris) with its radar wings and battery components, as well as the missile (800 polys; 1,448 tris) with its forward and rear wings and gaslift. Each texture pack consists of albedo, normal, metallness, roughness, and ambient occlusion maps, with an opacity map in Stinger textures. The Stinger's resolution is 4096x4096, while the missile's is 4096x2048. Normal maps were baked in Maya, and it is recommended to export from Maya version for optimal results. Some previews were rendered using Max Skyline Render (without PBR), while others used Marmoset 2 with PBR. Animation, however, is not included.
