The Stihl Filling System really stands out as a top-notch solution. Simply attach it to the oil canister and fill your chainsaw without spilling a single drop. However, you should note that this system only works with Stihl cans filled with premium oil, which comes at a higher cost. Initially, I experimented with another type of oil by using a funnel to transfer it into a Stihl can. But then I created my own adapter, which turned out to be a great success. It's essential to remember that even eco-friendly oil can harm the environment if spilled, so be extremely careful not to leak any. To ensure a tight seal, I added a gasket to my adapter, made from TPU, and printed it. This makes it much easier to get a secure fit. You can verify this by gently pressing the can; if you don't hear air escaping, the seal is good enough. This is crucial because an airtight seal is necessary for the system to function properly. My adapter was made from PLA, but I'm unsure how long it will last. Therefore, I strongly advise using it with caution and checking its tightness every time you use it to avoid any issues.
