Stiga ice-hockey gear system
thingiverse
This is a prototype spare part designed for Stiga table ice-hockey games but I've never actually tested it in real life due to lack of time. The part attaches to a player and connects to the metal rod used for steering them. Note that there are, as far as I remember, two or three different heights for the chassis of the gear system, but here I present only one of them because that's all I have. Because the actual design of the helical gear system was the most difficult part, I'm hoping someone can utilize this design and maybe even try it in action. The chassis of the gear system consists of two parts which should be glued together using super glue, which works fine at least if you use PLA but I'm not sure if that's the most optimal material because PLA might break too easily. The metal steering rod should anchor the free gear in place. The gear with a vertical axis might be a weak point, maybe the axis of this gear could be separately printed horizontally so it wouldn't snap so easily.
