Sticky Gecko - magnet
thingiverse
I modified the body to take different magnets based on what I had in my house, so I used two 18x4mm round magnets. I also split the body so I could put the magnets "inside" the gecko after printing and gluing the pieces together with super glue. I also glue the magnets in place as there is a slight gap, to avoid them wiggling around. I've only printed this in UV Resin but should be fine for FDM as well. I printed both pieces flat on the plate, and hollowed out the top piece with auto-supports added to the inside. There are a couple drain holes in the side of the top as well, easy to fill in with glue or whatever before painting. With two halves, it's easy to make this two different colors like the pictured example. And the location of the cut makes the feet really pop when looking at it from above, so you can have some fun color combinations with a few different spray paints, or hand paint it however you'd like. And it's called Sticky Gecko because it's inspired by the children's show Bluey. If you know, you know. Enjoy!
