Stick Drone

Stick Drone

thingiverse

This is my first 3D printed drone, and it successfully took its maiden flight! The design is impressively lightweight, so we'll boost durability by printing at a 70% fill rate. For the drone's components, you'll need: 4 Landing Foot (8g each), 4 Landing Brace (14g each), 4 Legs (6g each), 4 Arms (10g each), 4 Engine Mount (7g each), and 4 ESC Mounts (4g each). The Body weighs 43g per piece, and the Battery Box is 39g each. Total weight before electronics and screws is 321g. I'll be using 4/40 machine screws in sizes 1/2", 7/8", and 1". The drone has Turnigy XP 2836/8 motors (72g each), Turnigy Multistar ESCs (25g each), and a hefty 409g Turnigy 20-30C / 5000watt / 3 cell battery. For the flight controller, I'm opting for an APM 2.5, but if you prefer a KK 2.0 / 2.1, simply print a second Power Mount part for that controller. Stay tuned for more pictures as I finish printing and working on additional features like my FPV Transmitter!
