Stevenson Hut / Radiation Shield for weather sensors

thingiverse

This compact Stevenson Hut is designed for protecting an external sensor of popular weather stations. Many budget-friendly weather stations have a weak shield for their outdoor sensor, which can compromise accuracy. This modular case provides a robust shield for the sensor, safeguarding it from harsh environmental conditions. The modular design allows you to customize the size of the shield to fit your specific sensor needs. Begin by printing the roof and bottom, then create as many shells as required to achieve the desired configuration. Secure the structure with M4 threaded rods and nuts/washers. Initially, I created this Stevenson Hut for my old WS2300's outdoor sensor, but it should accommodate most small commercial and homebrew temperature/humidity/pressure sensors due to its spacious interior. The mount enables you to place the hut on a 36mm pole, providing a stable base. To secure it in place, acquire a hose clamp and tighten it firmly.
