The Great Diamond Council governs the matriarchal body of Gem leaders, holding absolute power over their homeworld and all remaining Gem colonies. Members include: Yellow Diamond, a Homeworld Gem and council member who rules over the Gem people. She first appeared in the extended theme song and made her official debut in "Message Received". Blue Diamond, a Homeworld Gem and council member who oversees the Gem population. Her first appearance was in a flashback scene of "The Answer", with a personal introduction in "Steven's Dream". White Diamond leads the Great Diamond Council, exercising supreme authority over all Gems, including her fellow Diamonds. She is considered a being beyond her peers and has remained secluded within her ship for eons. Her debut occurred in "Legs From Here to Homeworld". Pink Diamond was a Homeworld Gem and council member who continues to govern the Gem people despite her absence. She was first mentioned in "Earthlings" and visually depicted in "Back to the Moon".
