If you want to photograph stars, planets or the Milky Way etc., sometimes it is not easy to aim at the object with the camera. Not to mention the heavenly bodies only after a long exposure come to light. That's why I developed the Star Finder, based on the APP, that I use on my smartphone (StarWalk2). There is a cross line from the APP in the middle of the display to focus an heavenly body. The star finder is attached to the flash shoe of the camera with a screw (clamping piece) and nut (clamping nut) attached. The star finder was designed for the flash shoe of a Canon EOS. The star finder definitely fits on the 30D, 90D and on the PowerShot G6. In the appendix you will find the construction drawing with dimensions. The best way to adjust is as follows: Secure the smartphone in the holder so that it is clamped horizontally in the middle. Then adjust the holder via the threaded rod so that the center of the smartphone display is exactly aligned with the center of the lens. Parts to print: * 2 * Fixing screw * 2 * Screw stabilizer * 2 * Holder screw * 2 * Lower holder screw * 1 * Hold plate * 1 * Camera holder * 1 * Clamping nut * 1 * Clamping piece --> In order to gain more strength, I have selected layer thickness = 0.1mm, wall thickness = 3.2 mm and filling 100% * 1 * Adjustable nut Other parts: - 1 * Threaded bolt ca 160mm long - 4 * Screw nut M6 - 2 * Self-locking screw nut M6
