Stern Resp BrSt
thingiverse
I'm no engineer, but I'll give this problem a shot. Maybe my oversimplified brainstorming will spark some brighter minds. The goal is to create a device that can deliver 1500ml of air per breath, which means the system needs to be scalable and reliable. I've come up with an idea that involves using a motor-driven excenter disc to move rods connected to membranes, which would push air in the desired direction through a one-way valve system. The idea is to use multiple devices in a Sternengine-like assembly, driven by a motor. Each device has two electromagnetic mounts, one in position 1 and one in position 2. The electromagnets could be controlled using stereo signals on either the left or right channel. I'm not entirely sure if this part of the concept is feasible, but it's worth exploring. In addition to the single-device use case, I've thought about using a mobile phone to interpret sensors and influence the base frequency or other modulations. This would require a smartphone, an amplifier, and a speaker connected to a tube or pipe, as well as relevant sensors. To counteract the low amplitude of motion, we could add more surface area to the volumetric vessels. Alternatively, we could attach a lever to a subwoofer, which would move something more suitable for pushing air through the system. In terms of implementation, I've identified two areas that need work: connecting rods from the excenter disc to control the membrane rods in Stern-mode, and creating a universal motor shaft adapter (coned?). These features are crucial to making this idea a reality. The models will be updated regularly, with final STL files uploaded once the evaluation is more stable. I'm excited to see where this idea takes us!
