Stern Jurassic Park Pro Helicopter Blades

Stern Jurassic Park Pro Helicopter Blades

thingiverse

Replace the static, plastic helicopter ‘blades’ on your Stern Jurassic Park Pro with this design! While it doesn’t score points (like the Premium/LE), it adds a realistic touch to your game. Items needed:

Helicopter Blades
# 6-32 x 3/4″ Round Head Machine Screw
(2) # 6 Flatwashers
# 6-32 nut
Bearing (McMaster-Carr # 57155K351)
Installation:

Remove the flat, plastic original “blades” with a small, flat-head screwdriver.
Press the bearing into the opening on the bottom of the new helicopter blades until it fully seats and is flush. Depending on the quality of the print, the bearing should press in snugly but it shouldn’t be overly difficult.
Feed the screw (with a flatwasher) through the top of the blades (see exploded diagram).
Slide the second washer onto the screw from below and screw on the nut until it’s ~1/8″ from the bottom of the blades. Basically to allow for the blades to spin freely without too much wobble.
Screw the assembly into the threaded post on the machine until it touches the nut.
Tighten the nut against the threaded post (the one attached to the playfield) until it’s snug (this will keep the screw from backing itself out as the blades turn).
