It only took two days for my first roll of nylon to become unusable in this humid coastal environment, so after using a Nesco food dehydrator (155°F for 12 hours) to dry my filament... here was my solution. I drew inspiration from a few sources like Spannerhands' very nice wall-mounted sealed spool holders. This one uses a Sterilite 4.7-quart airtight food container available for under $12 USD (https://www.amazon.com/STERILITE-Rocket-Sterilite-Ultra-Latching/dp/B0042FJSLQ/). I drew inspiration from this design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1648102) but added a spacer/roller that can be adjusted for the spool size and helps it roll more freely. I scaled a desiccant container (from this design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1802247) to fit inside the spool holder and prevent the holder from compressing enough to allow the spool off. For the feed-through, I used this design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2116535), but you can pick which one works for you. This one fit the type of push fitting I had and fit the space I wanted to put it in. All I had to do was drill out the back of the push-fitting to 4mm to allow the tubing to go all the way through. The wide dovetail can be used to hang the spool flat against the wall during use or for storage, while the skinny dovetail can be attached to any of the three unused flat surfaces around the rim to stand it upright on a table, hang it from the wall or corner post, or hang it from the underside of a shelf. I recommend placing a humidity indicator strip or hygrometer in each container to keep an easy eye on it needing a desiccant change or drying cycle (such as these https://www.amazon.com/Premium-Humidity-Indicator-Cards-REUSABLE/dp/B01974FX42/). If the scale is off on any of the items, you may need to scale x 25.4 to switch between imperial and metric units.
