Sterilite 149X Series Replacement Handle

Handles mysterious sometimes go missing on these sorts of bins. I made a printable replacement for the 149X series clear Sterilite bins. It requires two 6 mm M3 screws per handle to secure the pegs and enable printing with optimal orientation for strength. 4-40 screws would probably also work. I printed mine in Prusament Ocean Blue PETG and it's a pretty good match to the original color. Paramount 3D's Mid Century Modern / Atomic Age Teal looks like it may be an even better match color wise but if you don't care, any old PETG is fine. I don't recommend PLA as it doesn't have quite the spring it needs and might not take the high temps of eg. a garage or attic in the summer time.

Note: M3 blind rivnuts make an even better alternative to the printed caps

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/C0OLqlXBy3o"></oembed>
