Sterile Bottle Holder (Medela Symphony breast pump)
thingiverse
Someone once said "Necessity is the mother of all invention", and If the utter chaos in my freezer right now is anything to go by, I'm gonna say "Someone" was pretty accurate. This little design I knocked up is a bottle organiser/crate for storing and stacking bottles for the Medela range of breast milk pumps. I'm not really sure if these bottles are some kind of standardised size, but the bottles I measured for are branded "Sterifeed 50ml Disposable" and are the only type I'm aware of that are in use by maternity hospitals here in Ireland. Your experience may differ so I'd check the measurements before printing, just in case. If the bottle neck is 36mm or close to it (not including the lid), then these should work out fine. This crate will allow you to store the bottles in banks of 12 for easier freezing and organising by dates etc. It'll also prevent the bottles falling over and the milk freezing in the lid. The "C" shape in both sides is designed so that an elastic band can be looped across both pieces and locking them together. This allows you to stack the packs on top of each-other easily, saving space in your freezer. I considered adding hollow circles in the top of the upper piece so that the next stack of bottles would fit snugly, but this would add a lot of time to the print and also require supports so I decided against it. The main objective was to make something that is easily printable and stops the bottles from falling over in the freezer. Anyway, this might be a bit of a niche case but I thought I'd share it in-case anyone else finds it useful. :)
