Stereographic projection flat mathematical functions 2
thingiverse
A high-resolution model was crafted on a local computer using OpenSCAD and a bespoke script, found here: http://jsfiddle.net/threonin/3j2c2pwe/. Mathematical functions defined in polar coordinates drive its intricate design. One function is specified as follows: F(x) equals x divided by 15 plus the square of sine multiplied by 5. G(y) equates to the opposite value of (y over 15, minus sine raised to a power, all divided by 2). In both cases, results are rounded down.
