Stereographic Hex Lamp with LED Holder and Stand
thingiverse
This is a lamp that projects a hexagon pattern on the ceiling (or floor). It is designed to hold a standard 20mm star emitter LED PCB. For the best results, use one with a single LED, as that will put the LED at the best point to get the sharpest pattern. While there is space to mount a heatsink, one is not required if the LED is run at low enough power. I found the PCB temperature plateaued at 55 C when running at 1 W in 25 C ambient temperatures, which should be safe for PETG and most PLA. There are two different bases. One has a shield to keep the light from spilling out the sides. I've included both a stand and a hanger for holding the lamp. The LED, lamp shade, and stand/hanger all screw together with three M3x8 screws. Additionally, I've included the template for the stand if you want to design your own.
