Stereo Gopro3 Case v3.0
thingiverse
Second attempt at creating a GoPro Hero3 Stereo mount and frame, third personal iteration of this design. The standard 3D case is only suitable for the GoPro Hero 3+ model; all other models will not work with it. Furthermore, the case keeps the lenses at a 30-ish MM IPD, rendering real 3D almost useless. This case holds two GoPro Hero 3 cameras (the only ones I have to test with) with a 72mm IPD. The gap between your pupils is easily accommodated by this design. It's loose enough that you can probably fit other similar model cameras into it, although results may vary. I use the Wi-Fi remote to control and sync the shutters, and simply pull the cameras out to remove the SD cards. There's no space to remove the "right" camera, so I prefer this setup instead of flipping the cameras upside down. It's up to you to assemble the footage together. Odds are, if you're printing this design, you've already got that covered. I personally use AfterEffects, but feel free to do it your own way. This design was created from scratch in Tinkercad; find the link below. Share and enjoy. This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/gDfkNI9LLMU
