The Steregushchiy-class corvettes are state-of-the-art vessels engineered to replace the Grisha class. They are specifically designed to execute tasks in the littoral zone, track down enemy submarines and surface ships, as well as provide precision gunfire support for beachhead operations. Initially built at the renowned Severnaya Verf shipyard in St. Petersburg, an initial set of four advanced ships has been constructed so far. Furthermore, Komsomolsk is now producing another set of these sophisticated corvettes. The lead vessel of this second group has been designated Sovershennyy.\n\nRussian naval command proudly disclosed their intentions to acquire a minimum of thirty Steregushchiy-class vessels for deployment across all four main naval fleets nationwide.
