Stepper motor heatsink bracket
thingiverse
My Prusa printer's X, Y and extruder motors have a tendency to heat up during extended printing sessions - which is completely normal, really. As I like my printers nice and cool, I created these heat sink brackets that snap neatly onto the rear of my stepper motors, all utilizing a standard square 40x12mm heat sink. If your stepper motor is running extremely hot and experiencing shutdowns, first ensure you've tuned down the voltage accordingly to avoid any potential damage. The STL file comes pre-configured at 5mm from one surface up. For best results, print these in ABS, then use acetone to bond the parts together before usage. A few different STL variations are available for your convenience. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer Model: Prusa i3 Raft: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 100%
