Stepper Motor Cooling Fin Mount
thingiverse
I wanted to mount cooling fins on the stepper motors of my enclosed printer, to see if they would help the motors run cooler. I don't know exactly how much they helped lower the temps, but by feel, it's definitely an improvement. I didn't want to glue the cooling fins to the motors, so I made these brackets to hold them in place. You'll need 4 m3x25 screws and nuts per motor, I recommend a thermal paste between the motor and cooling fins, to aid in their efficiency. I used these Cooling fins. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DR3BQFX?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details. Don't overtighten the screws, or the brackets will break. Snug is all the fins need to be effective.
