I built this model conveyor for my current robot project. My goal was to keep it as uncomplicated as possible. Video of the conveyor in action: https://youtu.be/LOpMmwAWrJ8 For the frame, I utilized 10x10 aluminum extrusion from Makerbeam (https://www.makerbeam.com). This creates a very sturdy and robust framework without having to print all the individual parts. The motor I used is a standard Nema 17 stepper motor, nothing out of the ordinary. The electronics are also quite straightforward, I employed a schematic from Schmalzhaus (https://goo.gl/8aKsMe) and an Easy Driver from Adafruit. For the belt, I contacted a local conveyor belt manufacturer who produced a white endless PU belt measuring 747mm x 55mm.
