Radiator Pipe Cover - A Customized Escutcheon Design When researching new designs for my upcoming upload, I came across a radiator pipe cover known as an "escutcheon." This clever device serves to conceal the larger hole in the floor, giving the installation a cleaner and more polished appearance. Most escutcheons feature simple designs, but I wanted to create something more elaborate. After experimenting with various shapes, I landed on a design that could be best described as a "stepped ogee" shape. This unique design caught my eye, and I'm excited to share it with you. This custom radiator pipe cover is specifically designed for 7/8" OD pipes - such as 3/4" copper pipe. If you need a different size, don't worry; the Fusion 360 file is included for your convenience. I'd love to see how you remix this design! Print it in white ABS and wood PLA, just like I did. And if you're feeling adventurous, try staining the wood PLA to match your floor's finish. The result will be a beautiful and functional piece that adds a touch of elegance to any room.
