Stephensons Rockets 1829 and 1835

Stephensons Rockets 1829 and 1835, originally built for the Rainhill trials competition in 1829, underwent significant modifications during its operational life. A new chimney was installed in place of the original one, and a smoke box and stack were added to improve performance. The cylinders were tilted downward to 8 degrees, and additional water jacketing was incorporated into the rear section of the firebox for enhanced efficiency.
