Stepcraft / CNC stock fixture claws
thingiverse
With a compact Stepcraft CNC milling machine, I've often struggled to secure the fixture properly. Furthermore, aligning the stock along the Y axis is frequently crucial. Therefore, I designed and created 5mm high miniature blocks, claws, and space-saving supports. As with most of my functional parts, I printed these using FormFutura ApolloX (ASA) material because it's effortless to print yet robust. Minimal supports were added, along with a 0.15mm layer height and 80% Cura's cubic subdivision infill (approximately 50% standard infill). The wall thickness is 1.3mm. There's also an optional feature - knurling with an M6 nut inlay. The Fusion 360 design can be accessed at https://a360.co/395JcyZ.
