A replacement piece is available for a 13-gallon tall kitchen trash can with step-to-open mechanism. This part, which connects to the oil damper, broke after two years of use from Costco. Rather than discarding the entire bin, measurements were taken, and a new, sturdier component was designed using Autodesk Inventor. The replacement piece was successfully installed, restoring smooth lid operation for effortless waste disposal and design iterations.
