Steno keyboard

Steno keyboard

thingiverse

This is a board designed for use with Plover, a stenography tool. It was created by reusing ideas implemented in the tiny steno board 2, along with extra springs and switches acquired from another project. The board utilizes Matias Linear Silent switches, but with Kailh Choco 10gf springs that have been installed to enhance typing performance. These switches now feel extremely soft and require a high actuation point, allowing for faster typing. The case of this board bears a resemblance to the long-discontinued Soft/HRUF keyboard, featuring a two-level key arrangement. However, please note that this is still a work-in-progress project, with many aspects yet to be updated or changed. I've shared the current status here simply to preserve it for now. You can find the QMK project files attached, and the wiring diagram can be found in one of the pictures provided. It's worth mentioning that this version differs slightly from the original keyboard design - the * and # keys have been duplicated to make them easier to access with this specific shape.
