Stemmed Point / End Blade. XCB-105-2880. Dating Back 1,800 Years to 400 BCE-100 CE\nXCB-105 Adamagan, located in Morzhovoi Bay on the western Alaska Peninsula, is a significant archaeological site boasting multiple occupations. During its peak occupation from 400 BCE-100 CE, this massive village was the largest in the Arctic region, housing an estimated 1,000 people. Additional occupations have been dated to 2200-1700 BCE, 1000-600 BCE, and 900-1100 CE.\nThe Western Alaska Peninsula artifacts showcased here are a direct result of research conducted under grants NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led this project as Principal Investigator. These artifacts were meticulously scanned using either the Faro Edge Arm or the Minolta Vivid 9i. Processing was done in Geomagic and Polyworks, with 2-8 photos used for texture in Geomagic Wrap. The original digitizing work took place at the IVL on the campus of Id. St. Univ., while subsequent processing and publication were completed by Global Digital Heritage.
