A mysterious stemmed chert projectile point was unearthed from the Osage River in Missouri, its type and era still a mystery. This enigmatic artifact was acquired by the Natural History Society of Maryland sometime between 1930 and 1940, although faint markings on the point hint that it might have been discovered as far back as 1860 - a claim yet to be verified.
