I scaled up the original design and integrated a compartment for a 9-volt battery into its base.\r\nAfter printing it out, I attached two magnets to split the two components apart.\r\nFor the light source, I utilized a 12-volt LED strip with one LED intentionally shorted to enable illumination at only 9 volts.\r\n\r\nI also experimented with crafting a diamond-shaped covering for the LED and connectors using clear plastic and hot glue; hopefully, my next attempt will yield better results.\r\n\r\nThe printed piece was thoroughly sanded, followed by filling in gaps with spray filler and another round of sanding with 400-grit wet sandpaper to smooth it out.
