myminifactory
This stunning marble sculpture of a tombstone hails from ancient Athens and brings to life numerous characters from Phainippos Polyxénos' family tree, including his son Mnésarétè Socrates, his daughter Mnésarété, and the illustrious Hippostratos Philostratos. A poignant couple is also depicted in a tender déxiosis, their hands clasped together in a symbol of love and friendship. The artwork is believed to have originated from the mid-4th century BC.
