Stele 6 of Piedras Negras
myminifactory
This stele was unearthed by Maler in 1865, its face buried, nestled among rows of stelae situated before the j-4 sculpture. It honors the momentous act of enthronement of K'inich Yo'nal Ahk II, ruler three of Piedras Negras. The central figure is seated on a jaguar skin cushion, with legs crossed in a pose of tranquility. Adorned with a large headdress featuring a mask and feathers, a bracelet and necklace, the character radiates an aura of regality. Framing the niche where the figure resides are celestial bands adorning three sides. Below the niche lies a strip showcasing four tracks, symbolizing his triumphant ascent to the throne. This object is part of "Scan The World", a groundbreaking non-profit initiative conceived by MyMiniFactory.
