sketchfab
Basalt stela features a relief of Antiochus I Epiphanes meeting Herakles-Verethragna as an equal; both men are depicted in a Dexiosis scene with Antiochus offering his right hand in greeting while wearing a belted tunic and decorated tiara. The king also carries a four-lobed dagger on his hip, and Herakles-Verethragna holds a club and the skin of the Nemean lion. On either side and the back of the stela, an inscription references cult practices established by Antiochus; a hole in the center indicates its later use as an oil press. Made from 238 photographs taken with a Sony A6000 camera by Daniel Pett, this basalt stela is displayed in a gallery during regular hours. The object's measurements are: height, 133.00cm; height, 167.00cm; height, 2.00cm; thickness, 27.00cm; weight, 1904.00g; width, 60.00mm.
