Steering Assembly For RC Aeroplane

Steering Assembly For RC Aeroplane

I purchased a pre-owned Tutor 40 trainer radio controlled model airplane from Ebay, though it had hardly been flown. The problem was that its noseleg was "locked off," which was extremely frustrating. To print the required steering arm and mount using 3D printing, high durability was essential, making PLA unsuitable for the task. ABS would be a better option, but nylon would be even more effective. I had to resize the mount and adjust the steering arm so that it connected at a tangent rather than directly on its boss. Before moving forward with nylon, I made test prints using PLA to gauge the results. The success of the nylon print can be attributed to my enclosed printer setup and slow printing speed. The completed assembly is now complete.
