Steering angle limiter for Miatas/ MX-5
thingiverse
This is a steering angle limiter designed specifically for early Mazda Miatas/MX-5s. To create it, you'll need two distinct pieces: one with an inner diameter of 23mm and another with a diameter of 22mm. To achieve the smaller piece, users can resize the file in their slicer software by reducing the dimensions to approximately 95.6% in both X and Y axes. Installation is straightforward: 1. Raise your MX-5 using a jack. 2. Loosen the rubber dustcover on both sides of the steering rack. 3. Snap the pieces onto the rack, applying sufficient force for secure attachment. Alternatively, you can use a zip tie to provide additional stability. 4. If the steering angle is restricted too much, resize the piece's height in your slicer software and reprint it. Conversely, if a reduced steering angle is desired, simply increase the piece's height accordingly and print again. These limiter pieces were specifically designed for 15x8 et (-) 26, but users with different wheel sizes may require smaller diameters.
