Steelcase Leap V2 Backrest Spacers

If you like what you see here, consider leaving a tip.

A common complaint about the Steelcase Leap V2 chair is that the backrest can't bring you to a fully upright seating position. These spacers move the backrest attachment points 3.2 cm further forward, putting you in a much more upright position. This is the 4th iteration of this design which greatly improves the strength of the assembly. Previous versions broke apart after a few weeks, but this final iteration has been through daily abuse for the past 5 months without any signs of wear, so I'm finally publishing the design.
Instructions:
The spacers reuse the original stamped nut, but also require two new 1/4" bolts roughly 1" long, plus appropriate nuts and washers. I suggest applying a drop of loctite to prevent the nuts from backing out (not required on the stamped nuts). Print two of the outer rings, and four of the inner halves. Place one original stamped nut and one new 1/4" bolt in one printed inner half taking care to place the stamped nut in the correct orientation. Place a second printed inner half on top of the first and press the two halves in the a printer outer ring. This should be a tight fit. I used an appropriate sized socket and bench vise to press the assembly together. Some scaling to the print files may be required to achieve a proper fit.
