This is a highly detailed model of an ancient egyptian curved sword known as Khopesh. The design of this curved blade draws heavily from historical references and I've put in extensive research to make it accurate and realistic. As someone passionate about ancient melee weapons, I wanted to create a truly immersive experience. I've focused on usability as well, ensuring the model is perfectly scaled for in-game use and fits seamlessly into character hands. The sword model was created entirely in Blender, where I sculpted every detail with precision. The textures, crafted in Substance Painter, are PBR-ready and tailored to be game-perfect, offering high-resolution images in 4k, 2k, and 1k resolutions for both Metallic/Roughness and Specular/Glossiness workflows, along with DirectX and OpenGL normal maps for maximum realism. The model boasts an impressive count of 1282 triangles and 783 vertices, making it efficient for game engines. It's meticulously scaled to match real-world dimensions at a width of 16cm, depth of 4cm, and height of 79cm, providing the most authentic in-game experience. With a clean topology optimized for seamless gameplay, this model ensures smooth performance in even the most demanding environments. Detailed attention has been given to create a high-quality UV map with no wasted space, resulting in consistent texel density throughout. The model is compatible with all popular game engines, including Unreal Engine 4 and Unity 3D, thanks to textures available in optimized resolutions for these platforms.
