Steel disk buying guide: a solid investment that won't disappoint. Various types of wheel disks cater to different tire requirements and wheel designs. They can be categorized based on the application of tire type - either chamber or tubeless tires; collapsible and non-dismountable for design considerations; forged, cast, stamped depending on manufacturing methods; ferrous metals versus light alloys (often referred to as aluminum alloy); key differences include air valve attachment on tubeless disks resulting in increased tightness. On the other hand, collapsible disk designs typically comprise multiple elements in contrast to their non-separable counterparts.
