UPDATE 5/26: A glitch in the coaster design has revealed errant lines streaking through the surface. It seems I'll need to address this issue, but for now, don't print it unless you're prepared for a few extra imperfections. UPDATE #2 5/26: Those errant lines have returned, and I'm stumped on how to eliminate them. I've included version 4 of the blender file and an STL with improved circularity, hoping someone can offer guidance. If anyone has advice on removing these edges or if they're even worth worrying about, I'd greatly appreciate it. Hello all, This is my first project, and I'm excited to share it with you. My plan is to create more symbols so you can print them out as coasters. The dimensions might be a bit off since I'm using a M3D printer, which has its own units system... As you can see in the screenshot, it's supposed to be 4"x4"x0.75"... However, I had to tweak the settings multiple times and don't have the exact settings saved. If anyone has suggestions or ideas, please let me know! I might need to subdivide the circle a few more times to achieve a smoother finish... Hmm... I used the .svg files available on coppermind.net but had to use Illustrator's pathfinder tool to unite the shapes into one object. Otherwise, blender wouldn't cooperate with extruding or boolean-differencing the objects.
