Steel Cable End

This makeshift part can serve as a temporary fix, though its effectiveness might be limited as a reference design only. In my car's case, the 1/16" steel cable on the door latch had become excessively elongated, rendering it impossible to open the door. To address this issue, I fabricated a functional part that cleverly reduces the usable length of the cable. By incorporating a 3M screw, nylon bolt, and a locking washer to securely attach it to the steel cable, I was able to successfully correct the problem. Although using this customized solution might not work for everyone else (due to differing length requirements in unique situations), it worked admirably well in my case.
