Steel Bug 3D Printer
thingiverse
My homemade 3D printer is called "Steel Bug". It boasts a robust steel/aluminium construction, making it strong enough for CNC milling purposes as well. The printer runs on RAMPS 1.4 and utilizes NEMA23 motors. I will upload DXF files once they are finalized. For parts cutting, I used my CNC plasma cutter, which is showcased here. The X-axis bearings are SBR16-350mm linear bearings from eBay. Other components require access to a machine shop. I'm still ironing out the kinks in this project!
